Store/Sort by Vendor Creation Date

I needed to make a list of new vendors from the last three months. However, Financials doesn't currently store the date a vendor was created in the system and cannot sort by that value. That would be a helpful feature for identifying new vendors, as well as easily finding how long a vendor has been in the system.

This was my workaround:

1. Run Vendor Activity report for 2021 through June 2023; export as an Excel file.

2. Run Vendor Activity report for July 2023 through current date; export as an Excel file.

3. Strip formatting from the first tab (list of vendors) of each sheet, sort each alphabetically (this eliminates the blank spaces between each row), copy/paste into two separate columns in a new tab: past activity in column A, recent activity in column B.

4. Use this formula in column C: =IF(COUNTIF($A:$A, $B1)=0, B1, ""). If a vendor has activity in the last few months but not in the years prior, they'll pull over to column C.

It's very likely there's a better workaround, but this did the trick in the moment.
