Your ideas really do matter
I listed this idea for Financials, but it could apply to any and all modules an organization utilizes. Having a test database - basically a copy of the live database and software - would allow for new employees or employees taking on new duties to practice and play with the software to learn without the fear of corrupting or changing the live database information. The test database would also allow for staff to try new processes to see what impact they may have on the GL, payroll system and data, utility bills, etc. Right now the message from Vision has basically been "try it and we can always delete the transaction". But if you don't know exactly how the process may affect things, it is dangerous to do this. The test database can be refreshed from the live database as frequently as necessary to ensure it has all of the live database data and settings. I have not worked with a software system that did not have a test database to use.
